Yatham.

Somesh Yatham is a composer, sound designer, and percussionist from Austin, Texas. His music reflects a cross-cultural upbringing that blends modern hybrid scoring with South Asian influences and has been featured at numerous Oscar-qualifying festivals worldwide.

Somesh has also served on several music teams, working as an additional writer for Mandy Hoffman on the Sundance-premiering feature Run Amok; composer assistant for Alex Weston on the upcoming Al Pacino-starring film, Lear Rex; and an orchestrator/copyist for Edith Mudge on PBS’s Life Unearthed with Ariel Waldman. His role as an orchestrator for Joy Music House has also earned him credits on Netflix’s Turning Point: The Bomb and The Cold War, Apple TV’s Tribeca Film Festival-premiering Presumed Innocent, and HBO’s Cannes Film Festival-premiering Elizabeth Taylor: The Lost Tapes. He has also worked with music production companies 4 Elements and MPATH.

On the concert stage, Somesh’s music has recently been commissioned through Golden Hornet’s Cinema Recomposed initiative. Other notable premieres of his concert music include the 2024 Midwest Clinic and the Austin Symphony Orchestra Young Composers Contest. Alongside recent selection to the 2026-27 SCL LA Mentorship, Somesh currently works as a freelance composer after graduating from NYU’s Screen Scoring program.
